Half a zoo

lizzard, phin
well we spontaneously drove to Asheboro to the NC Zoo yesterday.  Of course do to the time change, we left later than we should have and got to the zoo around 11:30 am.

It was fun, very sunny, 80 degree weather but breezy and we toured Africa. We saw the elephants. They were out playing and drinking water, and so were the giraffes, zebras, and ostriches.

But as the title says, we only saw half the ZOO, we never made it to North America since little man tired out around 2:30 pm

That's ok, we go to the zoo every year and we've seen all the animals, its just fun to go and get some exercise in the sun.

Also, my parents live 25 minutes from the zoo, so we went to Mom and Dad's for Dinner and the Carolina-Duke game.

Go Tarheels! They destroyed Duke again!

The Zoo vs My Lawn

look here
My front yard looks rather rough. And weedy. and it needs a hair cut.

I've been waiting for it to cool down and this weekend should be nice and in the 80's.

But the cooler temperatures would be a great time to go to the zoo!

I think our plans are shaping up that Heather will work tomorrow and have Saturday off, so we might head to Greensboro Friday night. Then Saturday morning make the 40 minute trek to Asheboro Zoo.

so the question remains... when will I actually Mow my lawn?
